The host of a podcast has hit back at trolls who posted a video of him walking through an airport dressed in pantyhose and heels and tried to shame him for his clothing. The podcast host insisted that such insults did not bother him.

Paul Duane, who runs the Soul Anarchist Podcast, was filmed at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Aiport earlier this month. Last week, a video of him went viral on social media and garnered well over seven million views.

In the video, Duane can be seen walking to a luggage carousel at the airport wearing a grey suit, a pantyhose along with "custom-tailored suit shorts" and brown heels.

It was seemingly uploaded on video-sharing platform TikTok by one @miguelrm15 before being shared on Twitter on December 23 by a user with the handle @cov_Gretchen, who captioned it, "Okay what am I looking at? Men! What is this called?!"

Many of the users commenting on the post seemed to make fun of Duane, implying that he was gay or even mentally ill. "Desperate for attention," one user wrote, while another replied, "THAT... is an abomination" before going on to quote Deuteronomy 22:5.

However, even more users came to Duane's defense and slammed the poster for suggesting there was something to be ashamed about the way Duane dressed.

"What was the goal here? You weren’t asking a real question, you knew you wouldn’t get a real answer. You tried to embarrass someone you don’t know, who was hurting no one, for retweets. They’re not a “what”, they’re a “who”. And you’re a nasty person," one commented.

"Someone who wants to film strangers to make fun of them instead of minding their damn business," a second user wrote.

"Women shaming men for wearing female coded clothing is just Toxic Masculinity For Her," another opined.

Duane eventually weighed in himself and revealed he's not gay and that he identifies as a heterosexual. "I’m a pretty normal dude who loves motorcycles, women, and rock ‘n roll.... who also likes nylons and heels once in a while," he wrote on Twitter.

He also answered the "common questions" that were being thrown around and said what he was snapped wearing was not a skirt but a "custom-tailored shorts suit."

He also shared that the secret to having great legs were to "go up two stairs at a time at every opportunity" and posted a link to the Eterno Super Lucido 20 Pantyhose that he had purchased, which are currently on sale for $24.99.

The video is still garnering traction on social media more than a week later, with Duane engaging with a pastor who had criticized him, as well as hundreds of users with more questions about his appearance.
