Critics Choice Awards Full Winners List: 'The Power of the Dog' wins Best Picture, 'Ted Lasso' picks up 4

Jane Campion's 'The Power of the Dog' took home the Best Picture accolade while 'Ted Lasso' won 4 awards in the TV categories

The winners of the 2022 Critics Choice Awards were announced on Sunday, March 13. The Critics Choice Association (CCA) honored the best of film and TV for 2022 and saw some really big names getting their hands on the beautiful trophy. 'The Power of the Dog', 'Succession', and 'Ted Lasso' turned out to be the biggest winners at this year's event and took home trophies in multiple categories.

Jane Campion's western drama 'The Power of the Dog' took home the Best Picture accolade and solidified its chances of getting the same award at the Oscars as well. Meanwhile, Campion won the Best Director award for the Netflix film. She edged past fellow filmmakers such as Paul Thomas Anderson ('Licorice Pizza'), Kenneth Branagh ('Belfast'), Guillermo Del Toro ('Nightmare Alley'), Steven Spielberg ('West Side Story'), and Denis Villeneuve ('Dune').

In acting categories, it was Will Smith and Jessica Chastain who won the Best Actor (Male and Female) accolades for 'King Richard' and 'The Eyes of Tammy Faye'. On the other hand, Troy Kotsur ('CODA') and Ariana De Bose ('West Side Story') won the Best Supporting Actor trophies, respectively. 

On the television side, HBO's blockbuster series 'Succession' took the Best Drama Series award while 'Ted Lasso' was awarded the Best Comedy Series accolade. Another HBO series, 'Mare of Easttown', took home the Best Limited Series trophy. 'Squid Game' star Lee Jung-Jae stunned everyone and won the Best Actor in a Drama Series award while Melanie Lynskey won Best Actress in a Drama Series for 'Yellowjackets'.
