LONDON, ENGLAND: Thanks to the gripping storylines, the first three episodes of the British crime thriller series 'Criminal Record' on Apple TV+ have drawn glowing critiques. The Paul Rutman-created series has kept viewers on the edge of their seats.

The suspenseful and tense premise of the series also addresses morality, politics, and racial issues. In the fourth episode, titled 'Protected', June Lenker (Cush Jefferson) gains momentum to uncover Errol Mathis' (Tom Moutchi) erroneous conviction.

However, DCI Daniel Hegarty (Peter Capaldi) stands tall between her and the truth.

Discovering Mustafa's mistaken identification of Errol as Adelaide Burrowes' murderer, June is in shock when she finds her car in flames.

The subsequent scene unfolds with a police officer stationed at June's house for safety. Daniel visits, holding Isaac's gangmate accountable for the incident.

He informs her about a video uploaded by the gang online, which he is trying to take down, facing difficulties. The video shows criminals setting June's car ablaze as a warning to the authorities.

Additionally, she is also informed about her exclusion from the case. As June leaves the scene, the camera pans to Daniel, hinting at his contribution to June's misery.

Is Daniel Hegarty behind the charges faced by June Lenker?

Already immersed in misery, June finds herself summoned to the office. Taken aback, she discovers that her friend Chloe is filing charges against her for workplace bullying.

Chloe is led to believe that June will never assist her, no matter what, after Chambers tricks her into filing false charges.

Overwhelmed, June questions Chambers about the guy who could know where his car is parked, casting doubt on Daniel's involvement.

Disappointed by the recent turn of events, June knows that it is Daniel who is pulling all the strings to defame her, and everyone else is just dancing to his tunes.

In the upcoming 'Criminal Record' Episode 5, viewers can anticipate a tense confrontation between June and Chloe as the workplace bullying charges unfold.

But this brings us to the question, how far can Daniel Hegarty truly go to hurt June Lenker? Is he truly trying to sabotage June by causing a series of mishaps? Well, only time can tell.

'Criminal Record' Episode 5 is all set to drop on Wednesday, January 31. Meanwhile, previous episodes are currently streaming on Apple TV+?
