While it was a satisfying end to many, some 'Criminal Minds' fans think that the show's series finale was not well thought out and was full of loopholes.

The show brought its 15 year-long crime procedural to a close this Wednesday with an ample amount of flashbacks and characters from the past. However, it ignored some current storylines and fans think some of the bits in the episode seemed forced and hurried.

"They pretended Max never existed. She wasn't even mentioned. What's even the point of that character?" questioned a fan on Reddit about Maxine, Spencer Reid's fairly new love interest on the show.

After a barrage of sad romantic plotlines on the show for Reid, Max had been the light at the end of the tunnel. In the series finale, however, there was no mention of her, even when Reid landed at the hospital. Even if they didn't work out, fans think the show should have clarified what really went down.

Fans also think the script could have been more logical. After Everett Lynch, the Chameleon kidnapped Rossi's wife and tried to escape with the jet, he randomly mentions he is a pilot — something that has never been mentioned before.

For the FBI and the BAU to not know that is just odd, they thought. "Give a better reason as to why the chameleon can randomly pilot a jet (lol)," said another Reddit fan.

Some fans also felt that not everyone on the show was included and that Penelope Garcia was given way too much screen time. Garcia had a big monologue at the end of the episode and in many ways, was a representation of the fans and the show bidding one another goodbye.

However, there could have been some choice words from the rest of the gang too, especially Reid who almost got blown to bits, feel fans.

"Don't make the whole final 15 minutes all about Penelope. Could've been a joint Goodbye Penelope/Hooray Reid is somehow still alive/ Rossi it’s okay to actually retire, we promise party," said one fan.

A majority of fans also hated that Shemar Moore's Derek Morgan did not make a cameo, even at the farewell party. Some of them just found it underwhelming, overall.

"I might be alone here, but I didn't care for it. I honestly expected to be bawling, like usual. I was ready. It was just very choppy, nothing exciting happened, nothing new was really discovered. Reid almost died, then they fast forward and he's fine. The storyline was weird. Everything was weird. Underwhelming," said another.
