Food always makes for good TV but what makes it even better is food with a twist. This summer, some of the world's top-rated chefs will get creative on Netflix's 'Crazy Delicious'. The concept of this show is to have competitors turn regular, daily meals into something that has never been thought of before and which is equally delicious.

Release date

'Crazy Delicious' is scheduled to air on Netflix on June 24.

Plot

It's simple. You make good food, you win the golden apple. But, that comes only after you have impressed the judges with your dishes with a creative spin. The shuffle in the recipe has to taste as delicious as it sounds in theory, or else the competitor will lose out on the big prize. But, what makes the show even more interesting is its edible set. Yes, that's right. Every item on the set is edible — produce, herbs, liquid ingredients.

Cast

Jayde Adams (Netflix)

Carla Hall, Niklas Ekstedt and Heston Blumenthal will take over the judges' table, while comedian Jayde Adams will host the show. With the set replicating a garden and the judges aka food gods dressed in white silhouettes, it appears that the show could be Adam-Eve themed.

Trailer

Food enthusiasts are already excited about the show. One wrote, "This is why I have Netflix. More weird competitions." Another commented: "I initially thought it was a parody show! I'm surprised no one has done this yet for these cooking shows." Another said, "So it’s like MasterChef Australia where they have to make crazy, seemingly impossible dishes like a chocolate balloon. Except, it’s only that challenge." Another pointed out, "I’m sooooo hungry bro. Yo let’s have like a buffalo wing milkshake. Tooootally bruh."

Showrunners

The food show is produced by Optomen with Tina Flintoff, Nick Hornby and Nicola Pointer serving as executive producers.
