'Crash Landing on You' finale week sees Jeong-hyeok being labelled a spy while Se-ri tries to send him home

The K-drama is in its finale week, and from the promo, it seems we will have a heart breaking end to the hit show.

'Crash Landing on You', which has managed to capture the audience's attention with its love story that spans beyond the border, is coming to an end. With just two episodes left before the show concludes, the promo of upcoming week's episodes sees Ri Jeong-hyeok (Hyun Bin) get labeled as a spy in Seoul. It also seems as if Yoon Se-ri has fallen sick again after taking a bullet while saving Jeong-hyeok last week. So when she is unconscious, Jeong-hyeok probably has been captured by the authorities.

Last week's episode ended with a cliffhanger as we saw Jeong-hyeok face an injured Cheol-gang in a dilapidated building where the latter was being treated. However, before he could capture Cheol-gang, the two are surrounded by cops who are informed about Jeong-hyeok's real identity by Se-ri's evil sister-in-law. We also heard a gun-shot go off and from the promo, we see Se-ri hurry to another hospital room as if her life depended on it. This could only mean that Jeong-hyeok was hit by the bullet and if nothing is done to stop the South Korean authorities, he will be captured as a spy who infiltrated the country.

So when Se-ri says that she has to send him home safe, it could mean that the couple will finally have to break up despite their love for each other. How she plans on transferring him to North Korea, especially if he is hurt, is something that we will have to watch out for in the upcoming episodes.

The promo also shows Gu Seung-jung speak to someone over the phone as he tries to tell them that he has no connection to "her", and is not interested in discussing it further. Even if this woman is being brought over, he doesn't care, he says. The next scene shows Seo Dan going through the apartment where Geung-sung was staying and which has been ransacked. Following this, she is shown racked with continuous sobs. However, the two scenes might not be connected after all.

Both Seung-jung and Seo Dan have grown closer since the two began bonding over their failed love stories. If they spend more time together, the two might have a love story of their own, however, Seung-jung is a wanted man who is expected to be questioned by the North Korean authorities for using illegal means to escape punishment in South Korea for embezzling. So he leaves the apartment that Seo Dan had arranged for him, but the woman that he is talking about over the phone could also be Se-ri since he had recently decided to give up on wanting to exact revenge on Se-ri's family.

Seo Dan's tears, on the other hand, could be for Jeong-hyeok. After all, she has been in love with him for the longest time and news of him being captured or even hurt could break her heart.

'Crash Landing on You' week 8 episodes can be streamed on Saturdays and Sundays on Netflix.
