A couple who are parents to three children killed a 17-year-old boy and then hid his rotting body in their attic for eight months because the mother wanted to "give her children a good Christmas," a court heard.
According to the Daily Mail, 37-year-old Gary Hopkins and 28-year-old Stacy Docherty allegedly murdered Abdi Ali with a claw hammer and a 16cm-long knife at their second-floor apartment in Enfield, north London, on December 21, 2017. They then wrapped his body inside a duvet cover and hid it in the attic along with the murder weapons.
