1. The Spivey and Duggar are family friends
It is not uncommon for the Duggars to court with someone they have known before. The Spivey and Duggars have been family friends for decades, but Claire and Justin hadn't met for a long time. Since the families know each other, it wasn't hard for them to announce the courtship or get the blessing from the family.
2. Claire is eldest child in the Spivey family
Justin is Duggar number 14 and unlike the big family that the Duggars have, the Spivery family is relatively small. With only six children, Claire is the eldest.
3. They met in 2019
Even though the Duggars and Spivey have known each other for a long time, Justin and Claire did not meet each other until 2019. Justin got to know Claire after he came to meet the family. Seeing how he bonded with Claire, their interaction increased and relationship developed.
4. Justin knew Claire would be his wife within a week
They say "when you know, you know". The same happened with Justin as he told TLC that within a week of meeting Claire, he knew she was going to be his wife. The pair shared common thoughts and found a comfort in the presence of each other. “God brought Claire into my life and I wasn’t really expecting it, but he brought her along right when I needed her," he told TLC. "And ever since then, I knew she was the one." Meanwhile, Claire added, “I’m really looking forward to the memories to come."
5. She gained nearly 10k followers within a day on Instagram
With Claire soon becoming a part of the Duggar family, it is not surprise that people want to know her. Claire joined Instagram recently and within a day, she gained nearly 10k followers. The first picture she uploaded is that of Justin and her. She talks about feeling lucky and looking forward to building their relationship.
