TV medical expert Dr. Mehmet Oz has a bit of unique advice for those stuck at home during the coronavirus pandemic — have lots of sex.

The deadly virus has infected more than 200,000 people globally and killed over 8,000, forcing countries across the world to tighten quarantine measures. And according to the reality TV star, people stuck indoors as part of a social distancing measure should do something productive instead of binge-watching television.

And while they could pick up a hobby like reading or learn a new language, Dr. Oz thinks nothing can relieve the ongoing tension like a little sexual healing.

“The best solution if you’re holed up with your significant other, quarantined, is have sex,” the doctor advised in a TMZ video on Tuesday, March 17. “You’ll live longer, get rid of the tension.”

Oz has reportedly advised couples to "bang it out early and often" if they want to keep things civil at home, per TMZ.

“Maybe you’ll make some babies,” he added. “It’s certainly better staring at each other than getting on each other’s nerves.”

Dr. Oz is one of the few medical professionals recommending close physical contact during the pandemic. Meanwhile, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is urging people to avoid public gatherings and practice social distancing by maintaining a minimum six-feet distance from others as much as possible.

Speaking to the New York Post, Dr. Frederick Davis, an emergency room doctor at Northwell Health on Long Island, said that engaging in sexual intercourse amid the outbreak is "a gray area."

“If you aren’t showing any symptoms right now, yes,” Davis said. “While I expect a baby boom in nine-or-so months, it’s one of those things people can transmit without having symptoms or knowing. In reality, you could be carrying it now.”

TMZ also spoke to Machine Gun Kelly in Studio City over the weekend, who agreed that the COVID-19 pandemic could actually spark another baby boom because "everyone's holed up and just chillin'."

"Everyone's f***ing," he noted.
