Jared Kushner and Ivanka mocked as 'Javanka' for oversized roles in Trump regime's response to coronavirus

We've had Brangelina, Kimye, Bennifer, and Gyllenspoon. But all those are about to take a backseat for Javanka: Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump.

The couple has been in the headlines recently as they continue to appear alongside President Donald Trump during his coronavirus press briefings and meetings and look set to take up central roles in the country's response to the outbreak.

Trump recently took to Twitter to insist that the call to reopen the country and the economy would be a decision that he alone would take and the governors of various states wouldn't have much say in it.

"For the purpose of creating conflict and confusion, some in the Fake News Media are saying that it is the Governors decision to open up the states, not that of the President of the United States & the Federal Government," he tweeted.

"Let it be fully understood that this is incorrect. It is the decision of the President, and for many good reasons. With that being said, the Administration and I are working closely with the Governors, and this will continue. A decision by me, in conjunction with the Governors and input from others, will be made shortly!"

He is expected to set up a new task force for the purpose soon, and will reportedly make an announcement on the same on Tuesday, April 14.

The task force will include his daughter Ivanka, as well as her husband Jared Kushner because of how they have, so far, played important roles in the administration's fight against COVID-19, according to the Daily Mail.

Kushner has been fielding calls from hot-spots in the country seeking protective gear and trying to line up deliveries and was snapped at one of Trump's White House briefings, while Ivanka was with her father during a small business meeting in the Roosevelt Room.

Their increased prominence has seen the internet refer to them as 'Javanka,' though not quite in a positive light.

"So a new Covid 19 task force led by Javanka," one user wrote. "The lives of Americans are in the hands of these two idiots. If a Democratic Pres showed this level of insane nepotism Fox News would literally combust."

"Panel of experts? Doctors - he’ll pick Dr Oz. Business - he’ll pick MyPillow Lindell. Overarching (?) experts- he’ll pick Javanka! Anyone trust this is going to work out?" another tweeted.

"We need the food supply chain to mobilize. Javanka doesn’t care about Americans! He won’t do anything!" a third wrote.

Javanka isn't a new term, however. Conservative commentator Ann Coulter had used the term in 2019 in an op-ed piece for Breitbart in reference to a new book by investigative reporter Vicky Ward titled 'Kushner, Inc.: Greed. Ambition. Corruption. The Extraordinary Story of Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump.'

She said that the book had opened the lid on "our actual commander in chief: President Javanka" and that the office of the president had been co-opted by "Javanka" for their personal gain.

The new task force will be headed by Trump's new chief of staff Mark Meadows, while Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, and Majority Leader Mitch McConnell are expected to be on it as well.

It will also include the likes of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson, White House advisers Larry Kudlow, Peter Navarro, and U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer.
