#Coronapalooza: POTUS's Tulsa rally gets new name by Angry Internet, people warned ‘Trump is willing to kill you’
President Donald Trump's rally on Saturday in Tulsa, his first since the coronavirus crisis, has garnered quite a bit of attention after Oklahoma's Supreme Court gave his rally a go-ahead. No sooner did the news surface on Twitter, people gave the rally a new name "coronapalooza". Fears of rising cases due to the virus was rejected by the court and the greenlight came after Trump announced that the curfew in the city had been lifted for the rally.
"I just spoke to the highly respected Mayor of Tulsa, GT Bynum, who informed me there will be no curfew tonight or tomorrow for our many supporters attending the #MAGA Rally. Enjoy yourselves - thank you to Mayor Bynum! @gtbynum," Trump tweeted.
Soon after, a tweet read: "Have fun at Coronapalooza, everyone! hey, it would be a real shame if #Coronapalooza trended all weekend." Since then, the hashtag #Coronapalooza has been trending on social media. "What a perfect name for the #TrumpRally #coronapalooza. I hope everyone not attending stays safe and avoids the #COVIDIOTS," one tweet read and another said, "Grim reaper to open for Trump at #coronapalooza this week, should be Sick! #TrumpRallyTulsa."
Singer Brian Ray tweeted: "Who's going to Covichella? #Coronapalooza #Coronapalosers." One said, "Trump is the virus. #Coronapalooza." Another tweet read, "Donald Trump is willing to kill you, your kids and your parents so he can put on a show. Please stop comparing him to PT Barnum he's more like Jim Jones but instead of his death cult drinking kool aid they're taking it home for family and friends #coronapalooza."
"TULSA PEACEFUL PROTESTERS: There will be a TON of uninformed, #COVIDIOTS and provocateurs at #Coronapalooza in Tulsa, starting trouble and not wearing masks because trump & Joe Rogan told them it's stupid. Do NOT engage with them. LIVE, so you can vote trump out of office," one Twitter user said while another posted, "It's not a rally. He's doing what you should be doing and listening to voters. He doesn't need to endanger the lives of 20,000 people to get his ego stroked in a #Coronapalooza."
Joking about the entire fiasco, one said, "Trump announces #coronapalooza, with special performances by: No Mask; Second Wave; The COVIDIOTS; and MAGA MAGA Ding Dong. Enjoy!" and another posted, "Human sacrifices are needed to please #BunkerBaby at the #Coronapalooza." One tweet even went on to say, "Have fun spreading the virus there and taking it back home to your communities, these dumbasses don't seem to even comprehend that even if they're not in a high-risk category they can still catch it and spread it to groups that are. WEEBLES WOBBLE #coronapalooza."
