Playboy's Cooper Heffner is moving on from his dad's legacy and trying to create his own. The late Hugh Hefner's son is leaving his role at Playboy Enterprises and launching his own media brand called Hefner Media Corporation and along with it a digital platform called HefPost in 2020, The Hollywood Reporter reported. While Cooper is still Chief of Global Partnerships at Playboy, his position is being filled by CEO Ben Kohn at the company.

The entrepreneur took to Twitter to confirm the announcement and said, "During the first week of May I will be stepping away from my senior executive role at Playboy Enterprises. I will continue providing support in a board capacity as an advisor to the company’s CEO. While the decision was difficult to come to, it is the right decision to make. The spirit and values of our Rabbit remain with me always, as I with it. I look forward to sharing more about a new venture soon. More to come."

There are no hard feelings at Playboy either. In a statement, Kohn said, "I thank Cooper for the passion he has brought Playboy and for his continued support as he transitions from a full-time role to an advisor. We appreciate his service to our country with his imminent Air Force Reserves duty and wish him luck with all of his future endeavors."

According to THR, HefPost will be taking after Cooper's dad's legacy — adult content. It will reportedly have sex-related content, that ranges from news, sports, politics to lifestyle coverage. The site is aimed at the millennial crowd. According to sources, the slogan for this new platform is said to be "Arouse. Inform. Live.", which probably will showcase their "sophisticated content" in a not so subtle way.

This is among the other ventures that Cooper handles. Just recently, he had also announced on social media that he would be joining the Air Force. He tweeted in March, "Today I took an oath many others I respect and admire have taken. I am honored to serve my country in the United States Armed Services and am privileged to serve in the United States Air Force Reserve."

'We appreciate his service to our country with his imminent Air Force Reserves duty and wish him luck with all of his future endeavors,' Kohn continued.
