STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN: Apple TV+'s 'Constellation' has captivated us with its mind-bending exploration of alternate realities.

Across its eight episodes, it delves into a mysterious journey centered on astronaut Jo Ericsson (Noomi Rapace), who becomes trapped in a different reality following a space accident.

Those who have thoroughly followed the series will be familiar with the intricate details of both realities.

In one reality, Jo survives while her colleague Paul Lancaster (William Catlett) tragically dies on the ISS.

However, as the series progresses, we are introduced to the alternate reality where Jo is the one injured and presumed dead, while Paul returns to Earth.

This second reality leaves Jo's body stranded on the ISS, abandoned by Paul who is too afraid to transport the "dead body".

Is Jo Ericsson alive on ISS in Apple TV+'s 'Constellation'?

In previous episodes, we witnessed the other version of Jo floating on the ISS, yet her ultimate destiny remained a mystery. However, the climax of the finale episode unveils a shocking revelation about her fate.

Jo with a disfigured face on the ISS isn't part of the reality she is trapped in. She never recorded the message on her iPad because the accident happened suddenly, leaving her no time to leave a goodbye message for Alice (Davina Coleman and Rosie Coleman).

In Episode 8, we see Jo moving her other eye and grabbing the tablet, proving that she is still alive.

On Earth, this Jo would have succumbed to massive blood loss. However, in space, the outcome was different.

Despite losing her eye, Jo didn't bleed, which apparantely allowed her to survive the ordeal.

We can speculate that she likely didn't sustain severe brain damage, indicating that she could endure the same air pressure for an extended period. But what implications does this hold?

Will she attempt to come back to Earth, or will she eventually die due to the lack of resources in space?

The cliffhanger sets the stage for another season to continue the narrative and shed light on the fates of Jo, Henry, Bud, Paul, and Irena, whose lives took unexpected turns due to a mysterious entanglement in the universe.

With the CAL device now destroyed, the characters face challenges in swapping places to traverse to other universes, prompting us to wonder how both Jos will return to their respective realities.

'Constellation' is now streaming on Apple TV+.
