21-year-old MCU student who called 911 seeking help after a party found frozen in icy river
Parker J. Haire, 21, was found in the frigid waters of Saginaw Bay on Lake Huron surrounded by tall, invasive weeds called phragmites, hidden from view of search parties.
A Michigan State University student was found dead in the waist deep, freezing cold waters of Saginaw Bay on Lake Huron after he went missing in the early hours of New Year's Day.
According to MLive, 21-year-old Parker J. Haire from Cass City dialed 911 soliciting help on Tuesday morning saying that he was lost somewhere near a factory and was cold and wet. First responders who mobilized in the area plotted the location of Haire's phone call immediately after the call disconnected. However, it was not until a Michigan Sugar Co. worker reported Haire's jeep stuck in the mud near the company property that they found further leads, Daily Mail reports.
