The renowned 48-year-old singer-songwriter, known for her powerful rendition of "Reflection" from Disney's 'Mulan', lost her battle with depression, according to a statement released by her sisters Carol and Nancy Lee.
Coco, a Chinese-American star, had been candid with her fans on social media about her mental and physical struggles. In her last Instagram post, she expressed her need to adopt the mindset of a "female warrior" to conquer the difficulties she faced. On New Year's Eve, she shared a series of images reflecting on an incredibly difficult year, including her ongoing leg issues.

Lee wrote, "Life seemed unbearable at times but I adapted the attitude of a 'female warrior' to face them head-on, fearlessly but always had the biggest smile and big fat laughter! Strength, courage, and bravery is within all of us, so use them".
