It’s always hard for parents to see their children fall sick or suffer due to any form of illness. Andrew Kaczynski, of CNN’s K-File, tweeted about his daughter and said, “Unfortunately, our sweet daughter Francesca is still very very critically ill in the ICU and could use all your thoughts and prayers over the next few days. We are all pulling for her, but she is sadly in a very tough fight.”

A few months back, the journalist had opened up about his daughter’s illness. Kaczynski shared on Twitter that his daughter, Francesca, was diagnosed with a rare and “very aggressive” brain tumor. He said, “A personal note: Our six-month-old daughter Francesca was diagnosed with an extremely rare and very aggressive rhabdoid brain tumor this week. We’re looking at any and all treatments right now, including experimental. Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers.” He added, “Our daughter is the strongest person I know and I am confident she will fight this as hard as she can. In the meantime, I’m gonna be off work for a few weeks while we get started on treatment. I just want to thank all our friends, strangers, and medical staff for their support.”

A few days ago, he said, “I struggle to put into words the feeling of my daughter struggling with complications from her chemotherapy. It’s like there is a cloud hanging over me. Everyday I wonder will she get better and turn it around or is this it?” In November, he expressed his feelings and had shared, “I hate cancer. I hate watching my child suffer through chemotherapy. Please pray for my little girl if you can she is having a tough few days.”  He also shared, “Francesca is still having a very rough go of it with this chemo cycle. It’s the toughest you can get because of the aggressiveness of ATRT and she is a baby. I’m just hoping she can sleep through most of it and come out better on the other side in a week. But it is very hard.” Kaczynski concluded, “I just feel so bad for her. No person should have to go through it but especially not a baby.”

According to the National Cancer Institute, “Central nervous system atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumor is a disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in the tissues of the brain.” The website states, it is a very rare, fast-growing tumor of the brain and spinal cord. It usually occurs in children aged three years and under, but it can occur in older children and adults.

After Kaczynski’s latest tweet, prayers poured in for Francesca and the family. Editor-in-Chief, HollywoodLife.com and HollyBaby.com, Bonnie Fuller, said, “I will be praying for sweet Francesca and for you and your wife. My heart and hopes go out to all of you in this battle.” Another user wrote, “Let your wonderful daughter Francesca know that we are all here for her! Good Luck!” One user stated, “Cancer sucks! Nobody should have to go through this, especially your sweet baby girl. Thinking of your family & continuing to pray for little Francesca.” CNN anchor Jake Tapper said, “Please have thoughts or say prayers for Francesca if you can.” One commented, “Francesca is in our hearts and prayers, as are her parents, family and caregivers.”
