CNN's Anderson Cooper slammed for body-shaming Donald Trump after 'obese turtle on his back' jibe
After sitting President Donald Trump addressed a briefing saying the election is being stolen from him as his rival Joe Biden nears victory, CNN's Anderson Cooper took a jibe at POTUS. He compared Trump to an “obese turtle” who is “realizing his time is over”. The 53-year-old CNN anchor also said POTUS does not have "actual evidence" to prove any fraud and is rather unable to accept the mandate of people.
"I don't think we've ever seen anything like this from the president of the United States and I think, as Jake [Tapper] said, it's sad and it is truly pathetic and, of course, it’ll go through the courts, but you'll notice the president did not have any evidence presented at all, nothing, no real actual evidence of any kind of fraud," Cooper said."But he just hasn't accepted it and he wants to take everyone down with him, including this country."
Cooper added, "That is the president of the United States. That is the most powerful person in the world, and we see him like an obese turtle on his back, flailing in the hot sun, realizing his time is over." A user posted the video.

His remarks came after Trump sounded despondent during his White House press conference on October 5. During the briefing, he reportedly falsely claimed that Democrats are counting "illegal votes". “If you count the legal votes I easily win. If you count the illegal votes, they can try to steal the election from us”, Trump alleged. Offering no evidence, Trump slammed the election workers and alleged fraud in the states where the result from a dwindling set of uncounted votes are nearing Democrat Joe Biden to victory.“This is a case where they’re trying to steal an election,” Trump stated.
Until November 5, Joe Biden rests at 264 electoral college votes while Trump is at 214. The former VP is moving closer to getting the 270 votes that are needed to declare a victory in the presidential race.
Now as Anderson’s remarks dropped, Twitter, took a note of that. People started to slam Cooper for fat-shaming Trump. Others were mused by his comment and had a light-hearted moment. A user slammed Cooper, “Cooper fat-shamed the president and described him of having a medical problem that a turtle, by its very nature, can not be. These are the losers that think they control you. Laugh at them.”
Another concurred, “Please do not continue with this need to fat shame the President. He can be shamed for all kinds of other decisions, but saying that his weight is in some way evil is wrong.” A user wrote, “I’m sorry but the turtle didn’t need to be ob*se. let fat people live.” Many user praised Cooper for the comment. A user wrote, “Put Anderson Cooper in the hall of fame for this one.” Another quipped, “Quote of the century.” A user wrote amusingly, “Anderson Cooper ladies & gentlemen! The ending is poetry.”
