'She kept saying how great of a dad he is'
The slain woman's sister, Tiffany Agee said Allen and Snow welcomed their first child together on December 11, 2022, and recently celebrated their first anniversary on April 14. The three-month-old child is Allen's fourth baby as she leaves behind three other children aged 9, 7, and 3. "She was the happiest I had seen her in so, so long. She kept saying how great of a dad he [Snow] is and great of a stepdad he is to her other three kids. I never expected it to be this way," Agee said.
Talking to 11 Alive, Allen's sister said that it was during a call with the slain woman's ex-husband that she came to know of her sister's tragic death. "He said, Casey is dead. And I just, I just threw my phone and I started screaming, and I just — I just got into a fetal position... And I just kept screaming. 'No, no, no, no,'" Agee recalled the conversation.
Following Allen's death, her brother-in-law organized a GoFundMe campaign to help the family to support her children and to meet the funeral expenses. "All funds will go towards helping them and help during such a tragic time. Three of the children are now living full time with their father while the infant lives with Casey's former in-laws," read the page's description.
According to Allen's obituary, she was described as someone who had "a giant heart of gold and was always trying to help anyone in need." The obituary read that her "greatest joy in life was being a mom to her four amazing children. She enjoyed cooking, running, spending time with friends, and game nights."
What was Snow's motive behind the killing?
Snow was immediately identified as the lead suspect in connection to Allen's death. However, the motive behind the killing remains unclear. Police tracked the suspect to Gwinnett County where he was involved in a vehicle crash on I-85 and was later taken into custody.
Due to his injuries from the crash which is yet to be clear whether it was intentional or accidental, Snow currently remains hospitalized. In a statement posted to Facebook, Gainesville Police Chief Jay Parrish stated, "Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Casey and her children. Sadly, multiple families have been impacted by this horrific event. As an agency, we will continue to support the families, even long after the investigation is complete."
