A mixed-race himself, Hamner is accused of threatening women and children of Asian background, reportedly as young as five years old with racial slurs. On Thursday, the Seattle Police Department arrested Hamner over the charges. The bail is reportedly set at $75,000. The latest reports say that he is being held at the King County Correctional Facility for the felony hate crime charge in addition to three additional counts of malicious harassment.

On March 16, 2021, Hamner allegedly harassed a woman named Pamela Cole as she was in her car with two children, aged five and 10. Cole, the victim, alleged in a Facebook post that Hamner yelled, "F**k you, Asian bitch!" She says he jumped out of his vehicle and started "punching his fist together" before throwing projectiles at her car. She called the police.

On March 19, 2021, three days after the first alleged hate crime, Hamner allegedly cut off two Asian women with his sedan near a supermarket, blocked traffic in the middle of the road and reportedly screamed profanities at them. The probable cause affidavit cites that he then got out of his car, charged at the victims who were driving together and launched an object at them.

Jenny Wong, one of the victims, took to Instagram to share photos and video of her encounter with Hamner.

Who is Christopher Allen Hamner?

The videos against Hamner show that accusations against him do have some truth to them. What is more surprising is that the accused has a reputation as a staunch BLM and racial-justice activist in the Seattle-area.

In June 2020, Hamner is known to have participated in the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ), where BLM and Antifa extremists seized six blocks of city property. He recorded a video of himself in the zone where he was holding an anti-Donald Trump and anti-police sign.

His social media is filled with posts expressing hatred of Trump and Republicans. In February, he reportedly tweeted, "Sleep good tonight Rand Paul" along with an emoji of a knife and smiling face. He was responding to a tweet where the Kentucky senator was critical of Trump's impeachment trial.

Other times, he posted on social media in support of President Joe Biden, VP Kamala Harris, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and and their causes. What is even more surprising is that he has also posted frequently in condemnation of anti-Asian hate crimes and white supremacy.

Following the recent Atlanta spa shootings, he took to Facebook to call for everyone to "[s]tand UNITED against racism & white supremacy." According to the latest reports, Hamner's arraignment is scheduled for April 8 at the King County Courthouse.
