'Christina On The Coast' returned to our screens with a bang for Season 2 on January 2 night.

Christina Anstead kicked off her new season with the renovation of the kitchen and living room of firefighter Travis, his wife Jamie and their three kids. This episode, Christina had to make sure that the kitchen and living room both had a rustic farmhouse style that is clean and white along with a firefighter functional style.

Since Travis is a firefighter, he explained how he wanted everything to have a purpose, just like the kitchen in the fire station. The couple's budget for their renovations was between $65,000 and $70,000. Christina brought in her trusty contractor, Mike Rose, who gave them estimates about their renovations.

At first, though he said that it might take around $15,000 to just put a steel pole to bear the weight of the roof, they ended up putting two regular poles for $4,000. During the renovations, the couple revealed that they were staying in an RV, which was difficult for them to manage, and added that they were hoping the renovations would get done soon.

Christina changed the look of the house by giving it an open floor plan that came along with a vinyl flooring. She had a marble island along with marble variations for the countertops along with grey and white cabinets with a chrome pole.

Though most of the renovations went on smoothly, she did find herself in a fix when it came to getting a decision out of Jamie for the backsplash. Christina first showed Jamie a grey backsplash that could go both vertical and horizontal. But Jamie didn't like it and wanted options. In the end, she settled for a subway tile backsplash with grey grout.

But after, a portion of the backsplash was done, she didn't like it and wanted the first option to be used. Christina agreed to change it for her. For the fireplace, she had the inside of it painted black with new wood, and a subway tile border with a wooden mantel.

The final reveal of the house was spectacular with the green walls gone. The entire space looked completely different, leaving Jamie in tears. Christina stuck to a uniform color scheme that was stylish. She gave the couple what they wanted with both their demands met. Though their initial amount was at $70,000, the renovations turned out to be $74,000.

We can't wait to see what the future episodes hold for us.
