Christian politician caught sniffing red women's panties during video council meeting, thought camera was off
A Brazilian politician has grabbed international headlines after being caught live on camera sniffing a pair of women's underwear during an online council meeting. Ditinho do Asilo, who is a member of a Christian party, thought the camera was off during the call when he pulled out a pair of knickers that were sent to him in the post and started sniffing them.
The shocking incident occurred during an online conference meeting of the Braganca Paulista Town Council, which is a town in the Brazilian state of Sao Paolo. According to the report, the meeting was arranged so that politicians could discuss chopping down trees in the area. The politicians are seen in the video discussing the said issue when council member Asilo of the Social Christian Party pulls a pair of small red knickers out of the blue. Assuming the camera is not live, the politician appears to study the knickers closely before eventually lifting the thong and sniffing it.
After being mocked over the embarrassment, Asilo tried to explain his bizarre behavior saying he had received a present in the mail and had deactivated his microphone when he went to collect it. He thought that his video had also been deactivated along with his microphone and so he began checking to see what he had been given. Asilo realized his camera was still on only when another council member alerted him about it. “It was a misfortune of my lack of practice with this technology. I wore a pink shirt and, as a joke, a friend sent me these knickers," Asilo later said of the incident. "It was an edible item from one of those sex shops. That’s why I sniffed it. I have a family," he continued. “It was just a joke that, because of my naivety, became public.”
Asilo insisted that he had no intention of disrespecting fellow councilor Fabiana Alessandri, seemingly referring to a female councilor who was present on the conference. “I agree that it wasn’t the moment to do this, but I wasn’t speaking, I was following the agenda," he added. “When a councilor is at home, they can be doing anything when they join a session and I went to open the package and I was caught.”
As reported by The Sun, the council is investigating the incident and is yet to decide whether any disciplinary measures are to be taken.
