Chrissy Teigen threatens to quit Twitter over scary harassment by conspiracy theorists linking her to Epstein

Teigen wrote, “When pedo Ghislaine sings like a canary (if she doesn’t die) and we have nothing to do with this, I know for a fact it won’t go away”

Former model, television personality and author Chrissy Teigen seems to have had enough with online harassment. On Tuesday, July 14, the 34-year-old mother of two tweeted, “If Twitter doesn't do something about this actually scary harassment, I am gonna have to go.”

Teigen added, “I have a family and job and there are too many to target. I've tried everything. Every lawyer says it will take many years and not change a f***ing thing. Because they will ALWAYS be crazy.”

Several things triggered this response from Teigen. Most immediately, it was an anonymous Twitter account talking about her children Luna Simone Stephens and Miles Theodore Stephens. Earlier, Teigen shared an article on Twitter about her husband John Legend and son Miles, where she talked about how her son had said his longest sentence yet -- “Mommy I need you to move, please” -- and how her baby had taken a “poop log straight out of his butt and put it onto the coffee table yesterday”. She added that Legend could confirm this, and he did.

But this innocuous and cheery parenting moment turned dark when an anonymous Twitter account responded to her saying, “Lord, please save that child from the torment and suffering it will endure under those parents. May the cycle end with him. God bless.”

This is, by no means, Teigen’s first brush with online harassment. But the attacks seem to have gone up recently. Earlier, on Tuesday, Teigen had to fight off more trolls and the events around it were not pleasant.

Comedian and podcaster Chrissie Mayr, shared on Twitter details accusing Teigen of deleting tweets in the wake of Ghislaine Maxwell’s arrest, an alleged accomplice of Jeffrey Epstein. Mayr wrote, “Some celebrities have been VERY busy since #GhislaineMaxwell was arrested. @chrissyteigen why did you delete over 28,000 tweets yesterday??!! #chrissyteigen was ON the #EpsteinFlightLogs.”

Targeting Teigen, a Twitter user wrote, “okay we’ll tell you....but you have to tell us what you and @johnlegend were doing hanging with Epstein,” talking about the now-dead financier who was accused of sex-trafficking and child sexual abuse. When Teigen did not respond, the user continued with, “kinda weird she’s getting so defensive about it. If other people have to answer to the law, @chrissyteigen and @johnlegend are not above it.”

Teigen responded to this with, “This I don’t get. Everyone thinking I’m guilty because I’m defensive. You understand you are calling me a pedophile, correct?”

She also responded to Mayr’s tweet with, “I actually deleted 60,000 tweets because I cannot f***ing STAND you idiots anymore and I’m worried for my family. Finding me talking about toddlers and tiaras in 2013 and thinking you’re some sort of f***ing operative.”

Tweeting about the whole ordeal and Maxwell, Teigen wrote, “When pedo Ghislaine sings like a canary (if she doesn’t die) and we have nothing to do with this, I know for a fact it won’t go away. They’ll just think of another excuse. It is extremely disheartening. I don’t know how to stop this. I don’t think anyone quite gets it.”

Last week also, Twitter users made similar claims about Teigen being on the flight log for a plane heading to Epstein's private island, Little St. James, which has been nicknamed “pedophile island”, and “island of sin".
