Chris Watts invited gay escort Trent Bolte into his home and introduced him to his daughters when Shanann was away
Bolte said that Watts told him before he met the children: 'If you turn out not to be a psycho maybe you can meet them.'
It has now been claimed that convicted triple murderer Chris Watts invited a gay escort to his home to meet his daughters after the two men had sexual intercourse. Trent Bolte reportedly told agents from the FBI that Watts reached out to him on the MessageMe app and complimented him on the picture he had put up and his lips. The gay escort was also questioned about his relationship with the killer dad by the agents for three hours.
According to Mirror Online, 28-year-old Bolte told the agents that Watts had a photo of the mountains in his profile and also said that he was straight. This made Bolte ask him why he was messaging a gay man. Watts then replied: "lol, I don't really know if I'm straight or not."
Bolte also told the officers investigating that he and Watts first met at Bolte's house and Watts allegedly ripped off his clothes. He said: "I performed oral sex on him, he performed oral sex on me, after that there was intercourse and he pretty much panicked and then didn't say much and left." Soon after that, however, the gay man said that he met Bella and Celeste Watts, the killer's children. Bolte said that Watts told him before he met the children: "If you turn out not to be a psycho maybe you can meet them."
The 28-year-old gay escort said that he and the 33-year-old married father-of-two had a relationship that lasted ten months and came to an end this past spring. Bolte's mother Colleen also confirmed in a separate interview with an agent from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation that her son and Watts spent a lot of time together at a remote cabin in Wyoming.
She also told the agent that Watts had given Bolte some money while they were together and that he had even paid for her son's lip injections. Bolte's story, however, has been severely questioned since he first claimed on social media that he and Watts were together in a post that was put up a little after the murders.
It was that post on Facebook and a telephone interview that happened on live television that made the authorities reach out to Bolte. In the beginning, the escort acted elusively but the authorities were able to speak to his mother. Colleen had said that her son "admitted he was seeing Watts long before the 'horrible crime' occurred", and that Watts "gave him money". Bolte also told Colleen that Watts had "paid him $250, $80, and $60 on separate occasions". Colleen also added that one of the payments had been for her son's "lip injections".
Bolte posted on Facebook in August saying: "We had relations off and on from last June up until March or April. I found out he was married with kids in February. I didn’t know that when we first met."
He also added: "I can only speak for myself but before this happened, I would’ve 100% told you that Chris isn’t a murderer nor a sociopath. He told me he was the victim of emotional and mental abuse and was stuck in a loveless marriage but was so scared to leave because of Bella and Celeste."
