A latest video of Chris Watts has emerged on the Internet, which shows him returning home after burying the body of his wife and disposing of his daughters' bodies in an oil tank only to learn that his wife's best friend had already called authorities after she did not get any response from her friend for hours.

Shannan Watts' friend, Nicole Atkinson, reportedly got concerned after she arrived at Shannan's house and found her car still parked in the garage, without any sign of her in the house. This was less than 12 hours after she had dropped off her friend for the night before going for a work trip, according to the Daily Mail.

Christopher Watts is in court for his arraignment hearing at the Weld County Courthouse on August 21, 2018 in Greeley, Colorado. Watts faces nine charges, including several counts of first-degree murder of his wife and his two young daughters.

Atkinson eventually decided to call the police to her friend's house before Chris arrived home. The video of Watts arriving at home to find police officers there was taken from the bodycam of a member of the Frederick Police Department, which shows him staring at Atkinson several times while the cops search his home.

Watts, who had initially reported his family missing and had made a public plea for their return, was arrested as he allegedly admitted to killing them. During the investigation, it was unearthed that Chris was having an affair with a fellow co-worker at the oil company he worked at. He reportedly dumped the bodies of his children in two oil tankers in the field where he worked. Their bodies were found four days later. Shannan's body was recovered from a shallow grave near the tankers while the children were found buried under crude oil sludge.

In the bodycam footage, Watts can be seen sweating as he tries to avoid eye contact most of the time the officers are at his home. It is also seen in the clip that Atkinson is making all the necessary phone calls to friends and family members of Shannan while also looking for clues, Watts, however, can be seen standing aloof.

Atkinson, in the video, seems specifically perturbed when she learns that her friend left without taking any of her medication along with her. Meanwhile, Chris barely speaks to Atkinson or even acknowledge that she is present there.  In retrospect, Watts was probably annoyed that Atkinson foiled the murder cover plan that he had thoroughly hatched.
