The entire nation went into shock when Netflix came out with the documentary 'American Murder: The Family Next Door'. The documentary details how Chris Watts killed his pregnant wife, Shanann Watts, and their daughters, Bella and Celeste, on August 13, 2018, because of his love interest with a co-worker. But now, the viewers are claiming that they saw a ghost in the documentary.

After killing Shanann in their Colorado home, Watts disposed of her body at the site of an oil company where he worked, he also smothered his daughters at the site. Watts was having an affair with a co-worker, Nichol Kessinger, at the time of the murder. In 2018, Chris pleaded guilty to multiple counts of first-degree murder as part of a plea deal and is currently serving five life sentences without the possibility of parole.

The documentary that was released on September 30 went viral and now people are claiming that they saw a ghost, or rather a movement, in a room while everyone was outside at that time. The part of the footage was recorded from a police officer's body camera, where the officers are questioning Chris about the disappearance of Shanann and the girls. People pointed out that the movement appears to look like a little girl playing inside Watts' home.

YouTube user Arthur Cant has claimed that the Netflix documentary features a “ghost” of a little girl. "In this clip you can clearly see a little girl in the left corner," he wrote in the caption, and later commented, "You can start seeing things around the 0:33 mark." The footage shows Chris at his home with several police officers and Shanann’s friend Nickole Atkinson and her son, who was the first to report the mother of two missing persons. The focus is on Shanann’s cell phone, which has just been found turned off in the house, but an officer’s bodycam catches a child playing in one of the bedrooms.

"WTF legit looks like a kid," commented one viewer. "Is it a ghost??" another asked. While some were quick to believe it was a ghost of either Bella or Celeste, a number of people insisted that it was likely Nickole’s daughter who was with them but didn’t appear on camera. "Those are not ghosts. His daughters didn’t have long hair like the 'ghost' in the video," another noted.

Some pointed out that Nickole could be seen going into the room to check on her daughter, and her son was also briefly seen holding the little girl outside the garage before they entered the house.

One woman referred to another YouTube clip that shows investigators searching the Watts' family home with police dogs. The clip was posted in 2018 when the investigation was taking place in the house. This clip was not a part of the Netflix documentary. At the 10-second mark, they hear what sounds like a child's giggle. Both investigators agreed that they heard the laugh and noted it in their records. The police officer can be heard saying, "Yes! I heard it."
