'Fargo' star Chris Rock is the latest to offer an opinion about the USA's coronavirus pandemic situation while blaming the politicians responsible. In an interview with The New York Times, Rock has slammed both Democrats and Republicans for the dire circumstances caused due to the coronavirus. He told during the interview that Democrats were rather focused on impeachment while allowing the virus hit the country, and went on to called President Trump a "landlord."

He said, "Part of the reason we’re in the predicament we’re in is, the president’s a landlord. No one has less compassion for humans than a landlord." He further compared Trump's administration at the White House to the movie 'The Last Emperor', which shows a child serve as the ruler of China.

Rock said, "So I’m like, it’s all the Democrats’ fault. Because you knew that the emperor was 5 years old." He further added, "There’s a kid and he’s the king. So I’m like, it’s all the Democrats’ fault. Because you knew that the emperor was 5 years old. And when the emperor’s 5 years old, they only lead in theory. There’s usually an adult who’s like, 'OK, this is what we’re really going to do.' And it was totally up to Pelosi and the Democrats. Their thing was, 'We’re going to get him impeached,' which was never going to happen. You let the pandemic come in. Yes, we can blame Trump, but he’s really the 5-year-old."

The actor wasn't hesitant to drag both the political parties, explaining: "Put it this way: Republicans tell outright lies. Democrats leave out key pieces of the truth that would lead to a more nuanced argument. In a sense, it’s all fake news."

In the later segment of the interview, he went on to defend his friend and Late Night show host Jimmy Fallon, who was canceled on Twitter for sporting a Blackface on SNL in 2000. Rock said, "Hey, man, I'm friends with Jimmy. Jimmy's a great guy. And he didn't mean anything. A lot of people want to say intention doesn't matter, but it does. And I don't think Jimmy Fallon intended to hurt me. And he didn't."

Soon after Rock's interview started making rounds, people appeared on Twitter to react to his latest comments about the pandemic and political scenario in the US.

His statements have garnered immense reactions with one user writing, "In other news, you're so far off base with your Pandemic is the Democrats fault due to impeachment proceedings. The level of abject Fecking Schtupppidity here is astonishing. Stay in your lane stick figure". Another added, "Maybe Chris Rock should avoid political comment. Or is he Republican? Impeachment was over 2/5/20 when Senate Republicans voted it down. 1st known US infection was 1/21. Trump failed, not Democrats." Another tweeted, "How can you blame the democrats. For the virus Trump downplayed the virus threat What do you have to say about that Do all of us a favor. You and Kanye West needs to stay out of politics Okay"

Meanwhile reacting to his comment about Trump one wrote, "The problem with Chris Rock's theory that Trump is a 5 year old and Pelosi should have done his job for him, is that Trump is NOT a child. Trump is a genocidal sociopath serving foreign powers (mostly Putin), tasked with killing Americans & destabilizing our Democracy, for $$$$$.". Another wrote, "@chrisrock if trump is a 5yr old, you must a be a 2 yr old whining little bitch. come up with some good jokes clownboy!"
