NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: After the third Presidential debate in Miami, Florida, GOP candidate and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie appeared on 'Morning Joe' for a discussion with host Mika Brzezinski.

In this conversation with Brzezinski, she asked Christie about why his fellow GOP candidates “can’t be honest” about Donald Trump. The former President was also mentioned during the presidential debate.

Brzezinski and Christie delved into topics such as Trump, fellow GOP candidates, and more.

However, the primary focus remained on the question posed by the 'Morning Joe' host, and the internet responded swiftly.

Mika Brzezinski posed this question toward the conclusion of her segment with Chris Christie on 'Morning Joe.'

Brzezinski asked, “Chris, I’m just curious as we close. Why do you think your fellow Republican candidates can’t speak clearly on this? Like, they seem to tiptoe around him. Nikki Haley saying he was the right president at the right time.”

She continued, “You’re calling him a criminal. He has 91 counts against him. He’s been found liable for sexual abuse, the judge actually says it was rape, and the list goes on and on and on. Why can’t they be honest about Donald Trump?”

Christie responded promptly, stating, "Two reasons, Mika. One, they're afraid of him, and I've known him for 22 years and know there is nothing to fear."

"Two, they kind of hope that if he is the nominee, they'll wind up as his VP, running mate, or in his cabinet," added Christie.

The GOP candidate also included, "They don't have the courage to take him on directly, which means they're all playing for second place. I'm playing to win the nomination, to defeat him, and to get him out of our party."
