Chinese scientists clone five monkeys after genetically modifying them to have mental health conditions
According to scientists, the gene-edited primates will be used to test pathbreaking treatments ranging from brain disorders to cancers
Chinese scientists have claimed to have cloned monkeys with a host of genetic mental health conditions, who they say will be used in experiments for treatment of human conditions of anxiety, depression, and schizophrenia.
Researchers at the Institute of Neuroscience (ION) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in Shanghai have cloned five "diseased" monkeys from one primate to use in laboratory tests, the monkeys have been specially bred as clones of one primate, Daily Mail reports.
