A Chinese live streamer got a sweet taste of karma when she tried to capture a video of herself eating a live octopus, and the video has gone viral all over social media for the right reasons. According to reports, the Chinese internet personality was attacked by her would-be meal while she was live streaming the video on the internet.

The viral clip, which has taken the internet by storm and spread all over Twitter and elsewhere, falls right into the spot between hilarious and frightening. The video clip shows the girl, who apparently goes by the nickname "Seaside Girl Little Seven" online, with a face full of tentacles after the octopus she was trying to eat had other plans.

Eating animals that are still alive is quite a prevalent practice in multiple cultures, with China being one of those countries where people aren’t too squeamish about chomping on still-wriggling seafood. However, in this particular case, the would-be meal decided to fight back for its life.

The viral video captures how the girl keeps trying to plead with the animal to let her go, screaming that she can’t remove it and crying that its grip is causing her pain, which automatically seems like a not-so-pleasant experience that anyone would like to ever have. It's clear from the clip that the sea creature means business, and its suckers-equipped tentacles latched on to the girl's face with some serious might.

When the animal eventually decides to let go, viewers could see the damage it did, which amounts to little more than a tiny gash and some overall redness. At the end of the clip, however, the girl vows to successfully eat the sea creature in her next video.

Here's hoping that the octopus has been training and we'll get to see the second round of some scary sea monster action.
