‘Chicago PD’ Season 8 is slowly inching toward its conclusion and fans will be hoping for the remaining episode to be as thrilling as the previous ones. However, we have some bad news for you all. Now, we know that things were starting to get intense and our favorite characters were keeping us at the edge of our seats with scintillating performances. But it seems fans would have to wait a little longer to watch them in action.

The show has decided to go on a hiatus for one week and won’t be returning for a new episode on April 14.

Despite fans really hoping to see a new episode every week, they might see the show taking frequent breaks in the near future. Various reports suggest that makers and the network is working tirelessly to end the ongoing season in May, which means the show might go on a brief hiatus every week.

When will ‘Chicago PD’ Season 8 Episode 12 air?

Viewers will now have to wait for two weeks for the next episode to arrive on NBC. According to TV Listings, the crime drama won’t be back for another episode until Wednesday, April 21. Fortunately for fans, their wait for a new episode will be met with older ones from Season 8.

The network will be airing Season 8 Episode 6 ‘Equal Justice’ on April 14. In the episode, “Halstead and Ruzek try to infiltrate a crime ring and encounter a complicated situation. The team recruits an unlikely ally to help solve a murder.”

Spoilers for ‘Signs of Violence’

April 7 episode, titled ‘Signs of Violence’, will largely focus on Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) and how she dealt with the trauma that she endured in her childhood. The detective will be working on a case that would take her back to the time when she faced a lot of traumatic situations. Fans might see the other side of Upton and how she manages to keep her focus on the case despite so many challenges. The detective will take the case personally and do everything in her capacity to solve it.

Additionally, fans might get to see a lot of different aspects of her childhood. It will undoubtedly be an emotionally charged episode.

The upcoming episode will be a great opportunity for Tracy to show her impeccable acting skills and dive into some heavy material. Meanwhile, fans would hope for Upton to find a sense of healing.  

Will Upton be able to come forward and solve the case even after all the challenges? The answer to that burning question will be given in April 7 episode.
