Spoilers for 'Chicago Fire' Season 9 Episode 6 'Blow This up Somehow'

In Season 9 Episode 6 of 'Chicago Fire' titled 'Blow This up Somehow' we are to see Gallo have to deal with a dangerous fire rescue with Casey fuming that his orders weren't followed. Brett and Mackey are set to search for answers from some suspicious calls but most importantly for fans, Stella Kidd's (Miranda Rae Mayo) and Kelly Severide's (Taylor Kinney) relationship is bringing us daunting vibes. Will they break up? If you've been watching the series as religiously as we have, you may have been upset that while Kidd was trying her level best to study for her upcoming lieutenant's exam, all Severide has been doing is avoiding her. Let's not forget, he also promised her that he would help her. While that's upsetting, we also have to remember that Severide is doing this so that when Kidd succeeds in that exam, all credit would go to her, as it should be. Will Kidd not move forward with her exam?

As it turns out that Kidd needs (using the term loosely, because she is fully capable) is struggling with her confidence because her man isn't by her side. In this episode, she wonders if she should not take the exam at all. The distance though, is uncalled for, because while we know why Severide is doing it, Kidd does not. Now, Kidd's been living with  Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer), a paramedic from Firehouse 51 because she's quite over Severide's attitude. Kidd is now also reminding herself of the fact that people had told her that Severide was a player, and now she's worried - it's simply unfair, and fans think the same. "Severide man up and talk to Stella ... y’all are goals ... go back .... #OneChicago #OneChicagoDay@NBCOneChicago," wrote one fan.

"If he isn’t gonna tell her his issue Kelly and Kidd need to break up cuz this is like the 4th week of this shit #ChicagoFire," wrote one fan. Another added, "Severide needs to stop acting dumb and call Stella. Going to mess up his relationship bcos of some haters #ChicagoFire". "At least Casey and Severide will always have each other, if they're going to keep being weird around Brett and Stella. #ChicagoFire," said another fan.

While we don't know as of yet what's going to happen, it seems as though the series is putting this couple in a bit of a pickle - we're fine with the drama, we don't need a breakup though. We're assuming that this will all lead to a heated conversation that could have just been avoided had Severide just told Kidd the truth. But here we are, all of us as mad as Kidd. Another fan added, "I fully understand why Severide feels like he needs to distance himself from Stella, and that telling her the blunt truth could also ultimately harm her "promising future", but FFS, after 9 seasons, learn to be honest with your girlfriends, dude. #OneChicago #ChicagoFire". "Come on Severide, stop blocking out Stella...she don't deserve this "stay away from me" treatment. Stella deserve the best. Be careful how far you push away a woman who want to do right by you. #ChicagoMed #OneChicago@NBCOneChicago," tweeted another fan.

Let's wait and watch. 'Chicago Fire' airs on Wednesdays at 9/8c on NBC.
