The Brett (Kara Kilmer) and Casey (Jesse Spencer) moment that some were waiting for, finally happened. They shared a couple of kisses and things looked cutesy, till they realized that Casey's ex Gabriella's (Monica Raymond) shadow is still haunting them and they might not be able to go forward with this. The fans, who were not cheering the 'Brettsey' couple, cheered because they said it serves Brett right for trying to get with her friend's husband.

Many fans haven't rooted for Brett and Casey, as they feel that the couple has no chemistry and that Casey looked best with Gabby. Well, to be honest their love scenes didn't look as uncomfortable as the ones with Brett. Fans are wondering why Casey should be thrown at every random person. However, others are more sympathetic and are feeling sorry for Brett. Well, she just had a gun held to her head and almost died in a car crash and then had to cut short what seemed like a promising makeout session. Here is what the fans have got to say.

Of course, there were some who didn't care for Gabby either. "Am I the only one who still doesn’t see the appeal in Gabby Dawson, she was rude and treated both Casey and Mills like crap. Come on @NBCOneChicago#ChicagoFire writers, either put Brett and Casey together or move on. They both deserve better then this crap," a fan wrote. "Why bring up Gabi? She's been off the show for a few years now. Just move on!! The fans clearly want Casey/Brett to happen! #OneChicago #ChicagoFire," another wrote.

"Also, LOVE that the #chicagofire writers showed that Brett still respects Gabby enough to stop & ask that and that Casey respects Brett enough to be honest. And not just make it a hook up. In TV, we often see just hopping over real-life complications for storylines. Not here, 22," one wrote. "brett ma’am that’s what you get when you go after your best friend’s ex husband #chicagofire," a fan tweeted. "That’s what you get for catching feelings for your friend’s man. You’ll always be in Gabby’s shadow. #ChicagoFire #OneChicago," another wrote.

"Uh Brett Dawson was your BFF and now you with her ex husband.. Of course he still love Gabby #ChicagoFire," a fan tweeted. "GABBY WAS YOUR MIRACLE MATTHEW CASEY. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!? #ChicagoFire," a fan wrote. "Bring gabby back ASAP!!!! #ChicagoFire, a fan wrote.
