Cher says Trump and his 'flying monkeys' were behind Iowa caucus debacle, slams him for snubbing Pelosi
Pop icon Cher has once again launched an attack on President Donald Trump. However, this time it seems more like a conspiracy theory. Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, the songstress blamed the Iowa caucuses debacle on the president and "his flying monkeys," Breitbart reports.
“I BELIEVE IT WAS trump AND HIS FLYING MONKEYS WHO DESTROYED’IOWA,'” she tweeted, before issuing a warning saying, “NOT KIDDING. TRUMP IS ABOUT TO SHOW U ‘EVIL’ WE NEVER KNEW EXISTED.”
Cher's tweet was accompanied by three cartoon-like images representing the fictional "flying monkeys" from 'The Wonderful Wizard of Oz'.
According to the report, the third flying monkey on Cher's tweet appeared to be taken as a screenshot from the singer's phone, considering the bottom of the image displayed recent photos in her camera roll.
“I love how you randomly save photos of yourself,” one user quipped on Twitter while posting a zoomed-in screenshot of Cher's latest camera roll photos. The gallery appeared to include an image of Cher, Brittany Spears, and some more variations of “flying monkey” images, among other photos.
It is not exactly clear what the Strong Enough hitmaker was referring to while blaming Trump and his apparent "flying monkeys" for the breakdown of the Iowa caucuses. However, it is evident that she was expressing her dismay over the Iowa disaster, which left the state's Democratic Party in shambles.
The results of the Iowa caucuses were delayed after a newly introduced app for counting the votes broke down and precinct chairs were forced to manually phone-in their vote tallies to the state party, thereby clogging phone lines in the process and causing further delay. The results came in more than a day later, sparking a major backlash against the Iowa Democrat party.
Having said that, the "flying monkeys" weren't the only concern behind Cher's all-caps tirade on Twitter Tuesday.
After the president declined to shake hands with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA)’s moments before commencing his State of the Union speech, the singer branded Trump as “vengeful, illiterate, [and] limp."
“MISUNDERSTOOD...HE SNUBBED HER,” Cher tweeted. “IVE BEEN ALIVE THROUGH 13 PRESIDENTS,& HES THE MOST VENGEFUL ILLITERATE, LIMP, IMITATION OF A MAN EVER.”
“HE’S ALSO AFRAID OF HER,” she added.
