Cher claims she 'could have helped' George Floyd, Internet asks, 'what exactly were you gonna do?'
Singer, actor and TV personality Cher took to Twitter to share some views that have netizens confused. The 74-year-old performer often referred to as the 'Goddess of Pop', recently put out two tweets, talking about the Black Lives Matter Movement.
The first tweet that she put out, she made a call for 'whites' to support the black communities, while talking out ways that people were prevented from voting. Her second tweet, however, spoke about how she 'could've helped' George Floyd, had she been there during the assault.

Twitter was quick to discuss the tweet put out by her.
"madonna finally learn how to post normal selfies and now cher starts malfunctioning", tweeted a fan. "cher protecting black people from police violence", joked another.
"I believe Cher could have made that situation different Remember that time she rode out to Standing Rock and fought the whole army singlehanded?", added a fan with a photo from the singer's single, 'Half Breed'. "same vibe", added a fan, referring to the time Mark Wahlberg claimed that he could've stopped 9/11. "cher what exactly what were you going to do?" asked another.

The other thing that fans were relatively curious about was to know just how old Cher's mother, Georgia Holt is. Born in 1926, Holt is currently 94 years old. "Im just perplexed as to the fact her momma still alive", tweeted a fan. "how yo momma still alive", asked another. "Wait...How old is her mom?!", chimed in a third. "the most shocking thing about this tweet is that cher’s mom is still alive?!);$", said another exasperated fan.

A few fans defended her, saying that she was talking about the feeling of helplessness. "Anyone who comes at @cher for expressing the feeling of powerlessness or helplessness needs to have a seat, cause you’re clueless. Ppl on this app always ready to come at someone with their own agendas/think the worst. Screw off with that. Zero critical thinking here." tweeted a fan.
"I'm confused as to what Cher's intentions were. Her and Meryl Streep actually did save a woman's life in 1983, but sometimes you gotta know when it's IT, and when it's NOT it. Judging from the replies to her tweet, this was the latter," said another.
