Even as Chelsea gear up to face West Brom on Saturday, September 26, the side has been making headlines during the trade window that closes on October 5. The Blues have made some buys that have cost them more than $300 million this summer and the latest signing on the block is former Chelsea youth, Declan Rice. Edouard Mendy, Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell, and Kai Havertz have been some of the major buys by Frank Lampard this season.

While this may come in as good news, the team will also see some names trimmed from their roster with a few players either being loaned or taking off permanently until a new opportunity arises. According to Football London, Lampard opined there were decisions in the making. "There are decisions for me to take, for the club to make and for the players themselves to make." Ahead of their clash against West Brom, we take a look at three players whom the league might not see this season.

Malang Sarr

Sarr was the talk of the town when he linked up with the Blues this August. He inked a five-year deal soon after which Chelsea announced he will spend the 2020/21 season on loan in order to get some first-team experience. However, with the new names in, Sarr will be one of the noteworthy names to be missing this season. Bayer Leverkusen looked keen on acquiring the French center, however, we'll have to wait for an update on that piece of news.

Tiemoue Bakayoko

Bakayoko joined the Chelsea ranks in 2017 but has spent his last couple of seasons on loan at AC Milan followed by Monaco. The Frenchman was started off his Ligue 1 career with Rennes before moving to Monaco and then Chelsea. This season, he might be loaned out again with Paris Saint-Germain FC in talks with Chelsea to add the midfielder in their roster. According to Sky Sports, the clubs are in discussion to check either for a loan or a permanent transfer.

Nathan Baxter

While recent reports suggest that the 21-year-old Baxter might be promoted to the third-choice goalkeeper, the debate over adding Kepa Arrizabalaga means we're in for a wait to know more about Baxter's future. However, should he be loaned out, expect him to most definitely find a slot.

Chelsea faces West Brom at the Hawthorns on Saturday at 12.30 pm ET. The match can be watched live on NBC.
