Chelsea Clinton says Trump 'obsessed' with Hillary as he lost popular vote by 3M, Internet calls it 'paranoia'
Chelsea Clinton has said President Donald Trump is "obsessed" with her mother and his former presidential rival, Hillary Clinton, as he still can't get over the fact that she got three million more votes in the 2016 election, making her win the popular vote. The comments were made by Chelsea during an interview on 'The Real' on Monday, October 19. "He's obsessed with her!" she said. "I mean, he talks about her all the time. He talks about her in interviews. He talks about her in rallies. He tweets about her." She then speculated that the president's obsession with her mother might have something to do with the fact that he did not win the popular vote and was instead elected to office through the electoral college back in 2016.
"I think it’s really clear that he has never gotten over the fact that she won the popular vote by more than three million votes," she said. She went on to mention that she believed that Trump may be "threatened by strong, powerful women" adding that he "felt quite threatened" by Senator Kamala Harris, who was running on the 2020 VP ticket and delivered an "extraordinary" performance in the debate against Vice President Pence earlier this month. "So, I’m not surprised," Clinton said in a final dig. "Though, I wish he’d spent more time thinking about what to do about our [Covid] crisis than thinking about my mom."
Many social media users sided with Chelsea, saying that they too recognized the weirdness of Trump's obsessiveness over his former opponent, especially when he was running against someone else in his reelection year. "That is not@obsession that is paranoia!!!" one said, while another said, "Because he has nothing else to talk about, for instance..how to control the virus, how to bring back good paying jobs back to America, where is his healthcare plan and etc." A third commented, "He still can’t get over he didn’t win popular vote"

Trump has repeatedly slammed the former secretary of state after he announced earlier this month that he declassified documents involving Hillary'ss email scandal and alleged Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. At the time Fox News host Maria Bartiromo questioned Trump as he claimed that the Democrats were responsible for reported "spying" on his campaign, in which the Obama administration was involved, adding, "We caught them cold."
Trump said that the former first lady was allegedly working with the FBI to take down his presidency and the operation began before he won the election, calling it a "disgrace." "We caught 'em," he said, as they "tried to destroy an administration." “I will say this: documents are being released at a level now nobody has even seen before," Trump said. "Things that nobody thought were going to get released have been released. And you’re seeing it, you’re seeing it all the time. You're seeing what’s going on. We caught them cold. We have them cold and now they have to do something about it, but other documents are going to be released, Maria, which are breathtaking. Wait until you see what’s coming out.”
