Charlene Gayle Kornegay: Babysitter accused of raping boy, 13, told him to ‘shut up and take it like a man’

HOUSTON, TEXAS: Police are looking for a 41-year-old woman named Charlene Gayle Kornegay who allegedly forced a 13-year-old boy to dress up in women’s clothing and sexually assaulted him in her son's room while he was asleep. The boy told authorities during a forensic interview that he asked Kornegay to stop but she told him to "shut up and take it like a man."
According to an affidavit of probable cause, as per Law & Crime, the alleged incident took place in July 2021 but was first reported to the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services in March 2022. Following this, a forensic interview was conducted at the Brazoria County Alliance for Children. The boy stated that he was staying at Kornegay’s home and took a shower, but when he got out, Kornegay allegedly told him to “put on a dress, heels, and a bra." The report of the forensic interview that details the incident has been passed on to the Houston Police Department for further investigation.

Details of the alleged crime
The affidavit reads, "The defendant then had sex with him in her son’s room while her son was asleep." She then allegedly applied lotion “on his ‘pee pee'” and performed oral sex on him. During this act, the boy asked Kornegay to stop but she told him to "shut up and take it like a man." However, when he insisted the second time, she stopped. But Kornegay reportedly held a knife to the boy's genitals and threatened to cut it off if he told anyone what happened.
Ignoring the threat, the boy told his father about the assault, who "couldn't believe it, but then after he started giving details he knew something happened because (his son) does not know how to express himself like that," reports ABC13. The father said he knew that she had a son as well as she would often tell him that she wanted the boy to "stay over and play video games" with her son.

Kornegay has now been charged with aggravated sexual assault on a child under the age of 14 but her whereabouts are still unknown. In addition to the present charges, she is already serving a deferred sentence for a charge of possession of methamphetamine. She had also previously been convicted on charges of theft and insurance fraud, states ABC13.
