The last few episodes of 'FBI: International' have been increasingly personal, especially when it comes to exploring the romantic and familial angles of Special Agent Scott Forrester. With Kellett breaking up with him after the OPR review in Episode 10, and his estranged mother resurfacing in his life in Episode 12, more sides of Forrester are being shown.

Here's a quick rundown for those unaware of the above-mentioned events. Episode 10 of 'FBI: International' saw Jamie Kellett being grilled by the FBI's Office of Professional Responsibility for how the Fly Team failed to apprehend a suspect linked to a murder in Prague. Kellett soldiers on through the investigation but a concerned Forrester intervenes, outing their relationship to the OPR. Fearing career-ending ramifications, Kellett ends their relationship. Just as Forrester begins to process the change, while simultaneously handling a case in Transnistria, Angela Cassidy, his estranged mother, shows up unannounced.

She tries to justify her actions and leaves after telling Forrester that the truth lies in the favor. The episode ends with him considering turning his mother into the American government but he can't get himself to do so when spots her at the rendezvous point.
