Casey Anthony, who was charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter Caylee Anthony in October 2008 is allegedly looking forward to having children again. Sources close to Anthony told People that the 33-year-old "feels like her biological clock is ticking".

"She knows she's getting older. She's not the young girl who everyone saw on trial," the source who is said to be very close to the woman said. "She's in her 30s, wondering what to do next, and hoping that she can find some meaning in her life," the source added.

Casey, who is currently living in South Florida was part of one of the most talked-about murder trials of the century. Her two-year-old girl Caylee was reported missing in 2008 by Casey's mother Cindy Anthony after her daughter started coming up with too many excuses about her granddaughter's whereabouts.

Suspicious, Cindy had pressed on until Casey had finally given in and told her she hadn't seen the child either.

The grandmother called 911 and said that she hadn't seen the baby and that her daughter's car had a dead body's smell coming from the trunk. By then, the child had been missing for 31 days.

During the initial investigation, Casey said that she had been too scared to seek help from the police after her nanny had kidnapped her child. However, the investigation led the police to her instead.

The child's dead body was not found until December that year. Her skeleton was found covered in a blanket and dumped in a trash bag near the family home. Duct tape was found on the body.

During the trial that went on from May 2011 to June, four hundred pieces of evidence were presented. The hair found in the trunk was a match to Caylee's hairbrush samples.

There were also Google searches on a computer she used that included "neck-breaking" and tutorials on making chloroform and the blanket that had been found with the child'body matched the bedding at the grandparent's home.

The prosecution aimed for the death penalty while her defense pleaded that the death had been an accident and the child had drowned. They also claimed that the grandfather helped throw the body into the woods.

They further claimed that Casey had been sexually abused by her father but presented no proof on either front. She ended up being charged with four misdemeanor charges and was released in July the same year. The not-guilty verdict caused a giant public uproar.

However, it seems to be all behind her. "It's ancient history, as far as she is concerned," says the source, "It was a very dark period in her life, and she is a different person. So she's ready for something new. If that includes children, she's ready for that."
