WASHINGTON, DC: Former President Donald Trump has unleashed a scathing attack on special counsel Jack Smith and Justice Department figures, drawing criticism from online communities, particularly in the wake of his sister's death

Donald Trump's disturbing warning to Justice Department officials

Trump took to his Truth Social platform, slamming Smith, former DOJ official Andrew Weissmann, and Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco as "losers and misfits."

He singled out this "team" along with others from CREW, an ethics watchdog group, warning of dire consequences if re-elected: "They will end up suffering from a horrible disease, TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME (TDS!), in a Mental Institution by the time my next term as President is successfully completed. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

Smith, overseeing federal probes into Trump's handling of classified information and election interference, has faced Trump's repeated disparagement.

Legal cases charging Trump have added intensity to their clashes, with impending trials in Washington, D.C., and Fort Pierce, Florida, scheduled for 2024, as per NBC News.

Trump's gag order in the election interference case faced temporary suspension, with a pending hearing on his plea for a permanent lift.

His recent bid for televised courtroom access was swiftly rebutted by Smith's office, denouncing it as an attempt to create a "carnival atmosphere" for personal gain, Axios reported.

Internet calls out Donald Trump's apparent self-centeredness

Amid these legal duels, the internet erupted in outrage over Trump's callous targeting of Smith while seemingly neglecting to acknowledge the passing of his sister, Maryanne Trump Barry, aged 86.

Users lambasted Trump's apparent self-centeredness in the face of personal tragedy, questioning his priorities during this time of mourning.

One user lamented, "After news of Trump's sister's passing this morning, the only thing he is doing is publicly attacking Jack Smith. Trump cares about no one but himself."

This sentiment was echoed by another individual who highlighted Trump's actions on Truth Social, labeling it as a "truly unhinged attack" rather than a moment of respectful mourning, emphasizing, "This is a sick, sick man."

One commentator expressed disdain, claiming, "Donald Trump doesn’t care about anyone but himself enough to worry about his sister’s passing. He’s too busy shitting his pants when thinking about Jack Smith."

Similarly, another contributor condemned Trump's priorities, stating, "Trump is a sick, sick man...Instead of mourning the death of his eldest sister, he is attacking Jack Smith."

In a sharp indictment of Trump's character, a user challenged perceptions, asking, "Still think Trump is a good person? His sister just died & he’s tweeting about Jack Smith. Ask yourself, what kind of a person does that?"

Maryanne Trump Barry's cause of death remains unknown

While Trump engaged in public disputes, Barry's sudden passing captured attention. Discovered in her Manhattan home, the cause of her death remains unknown, according to ABC News.

Despite her historical support for her brother's endeavors, her private criticisms, notably recorded by her niece Mary L Trump, marked her recent interactions with the public.

Barry's career as a federal judge ended amid scrutiny over alleged tax fraud linked to the Trump family's real estate dealings.
