Cardi B slams Trump over government shutdown and calls his supporters racist rednecks: 'This s**t is crazy'

The 'Bodak Yellow' singer said she felt bad for all the workers who "got to go to f**king work to not get motherf**king paid."
UPDATED JAN 17, 2019

The ongoing US government shutdown has affected hundred of thousands of federal workers, and has elicited a profanity-filled criticism of US President Donald Trump from none other than rapper Cardi B.

In her Instagram stories on Wednesday, Cardi said due to the shutdown the "country is in a hell hole" and asked her followers "to take this serious[ly].”

“Now I know a lot of y’all don’t care because y’all don’t work for the government or y’all probably don’t even have a job but this s— is really f— serious, bro. This s— is crazy,” she explained.

The diatribe from the 'Bodak Yellow' singer came after she learned that the Trump administration had summoned federal employees to return to work without pay. She expressed her compassion for all the workers out of a job and impacted by the shutdown, which is now in its fourth week.
