During the interview, the ABC anchor informed Candace that producers were going to play her a video that came from one of the many fans that she has.

Roberts hinted that Parker "might have known" the fan in the tape. When the ‘GMA' team rolled the clip, shown in the snippet was Candace's 14-year-old daughter Lailaa.

Producers pulled a split screen so Lailaa's video and Candace in the ABC studio watching the clip were shown simultaneously.

"Hey mom, you're on the Good Morning [America] show. That's huge," Laila said in the video.

"You are such an amazing mom, and I'm so happy for this like I said...” She added that she "loved watching" the documentary and that she was "very proud" of her mom.

Roberts complimented that Parker "was a good mother," given how fondly her daughter spoke of her. "That's the greatest compliment anybody can give you," Parker replied with a shaky voice on the verge of tears.
