In the July 20 episode of 'Dr Pimple Popper,' Aimee and her beau, Donald, arrive for her appointment at Dr Lee's office. When they arrive, Aimee notices that the lumps on her head aren't contained, so she hurriedly uses the car window to try to hide them. The 33-year-old has numerous bumps all over her head which she calls a "bump mohawk". She started noticing them around high school, and they grew over time.
“My bumps have made me pretty paranoid. I just feel like it’s my biggest secret. I don’t know what it’s like to be able to, like, not have to hide anything, to be really open,” Aimee explains as she starts to break down in tears. “I want to tell my friends. I want to be able to go places and not have to be scared of hiding things from people.”
Aimee and Donald have been dating for about 10 years. “He’s very sweet and supportive about my bumps. And when we do go out in public, he’ll let me know if he sees one popping out,” Aimee explains. Aimee reveals that she's never seen a doctor before for her bumps but once when one of her bumps sprang open.

Dr Lee explains that when a cyst ruptures beneath the skin, the "contents can be released," but the cyst sac wall remains. It can take on a "different shape" when it grows up again. This can cause the cyst to develop "adhesions, scar tissue, and be stuck there, and be much more difficult to remove.”
'Dr Pimple Popper' airs on TLC on Wednesdays at 9 pm.
