MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: David Bolno, the music executive who was initially considered a man of interest in Camila Sterling’s death, was cleared by the authorities. The woman was found dead in the bathtub of a Miami Beach hotel room rented by him and the singer. Her body was discovered face up in the tub after Bolno had left the room at the hotspot Miami hotel, the Setai, which is a luxury $2,600-a-night facility.

As per records, Bolno checked out of the hotel at 4.30 am on March 30 and left Sterling there. Her body wasn’t discovered until 1 pm, and the authorities also found a suspicious substance in room 2805 alongside her. The officials are yet to confirm what the substance was, meanwhile, the investigative team is trying to establish the cause of her death. Miami Police has, however, cleared Bolno’s name and he’s not a person of interest in the case. “There is an open death investigation pending the toxicology report from the medical examiner’s office to determine the official cause of death,” said a police spokesman before adding “Mr Bolno has cooperated with our investigation and is not a person of interest.”

'Terrible tragedy'

Bolno reacted to Sterling’s death and called it a ‘terrible tragedy.’ The father of two children, who resides in Los Angeles with his family told the Daily Mail, “From what I was told she was found much later in the day.” He further added that she was an aspiring musician and he'd arranged for her to have her own room in his hotel but that there is 'not much more to it'. Bolno, who is a partner at NKSFB, the largest business management firm in the nation, and collaborated with top artists in the music, television, and film arena, said he would have liked to sign a contract with Sterling.

'I really liked, and she was a good person'

“I really liked her. I was helping her make music... It was a terrible tragedy. I had vacated the room in the earlier part of the morning, so I wasn't there when they found her. It was really sad, she was someone I really liked, and she was a good person.” Bolno said. The 46-year-old exec who worked with musicians like Drake and Post Malone further added, “It was really sad, she was someone I really liked, and she was a good person.”

Police spokesman Ernesto Rodriguez said on being about the recorded footage from the Sentai hotel, “If there is any video footage, it would not be available until the case has been closed. The only information I have is what is in the police report.”
