ALISO VIEJO, CALIFORNIA: A man was arrested for allegedly punching people during a Maga rally on Wednesday night, September 16. The suspect, identified as Alvin Gary Shaw, created the chaos when a small group of President Donald Trump’s supporters gathered in Aliso Viejo -- 50 miles south of Los Angeles -- around 6:30 in the evening.

The 33-year-old not only just allegedly blew smoke on the faces of some of the people, but he also burned a supporter’s Trump sign with his cigar. Besides, he allegedly punched an 84-year-old woman and another person before knocking a third person to the ground. However, he was soon arrested by a retired police officer, The Daily Mail reported.

According to reports, around 30-40 people gathered for the rally organized on the corner of Aliso Creek Road and Pacific Park Drive. They were wearing “Make America Great Again” hats while holding signs, like “Trump-Pence'” and “Trump-Keep America Great 2020”. The rally was about to end when Shaw reportedly confronted the supporters of Trump. Witness Cynthia Cantrelle-Westman told KTLA that when she initially saw him, she “thought he was going to join our group”. But the accused “was pretty upset and he started using profanity from the minute he arrived. He kept coming over to me and getting in my face, and all I could say was the F-word,” Cantrelle-Westman added.

Another witness, 84-year-old Donna Snow, whom Shaw allegedly struck, said, “He took his hand way back like he was going to punch me, and [he] hit me right across the face. Broke my earrings off.” The ages of the other two alleged victims of Shaw were 55 and 74. One of the people suffered a neck injury after the alleged attack and was rushed to a local hospital.

Reports stated that after punching the supporters, Shaw -- who is an employee of the US Postal Service -- allegedly took out a small pocket knife, however, before he could harm anyone with it, the retired cop responded to the scene. The suspect reportedly attempted to escape, but was soon forced to the ground, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said. The man was taken into custody on suspicion of elder abuse, assault with a deadly weapon and assault and battery.

But on Thursday, September 17, he was released on bail. Sergeant Dennis Breckner told CBS Los Angeles, “This could have been a very serious incident. In this case, this was just two groups that disagree, and while we support people and their using their First Amendment rights to put out their message, we prefer that that remain peaceful.”

A lot of people on Twitter have reacted to the alleged incident with one tweeting, “This b*****d hit an 84 year old woman in the face today at a Trump rally. He was arrested. His name is 33 year old Alvin Gary Shaw. Piece of S**T! This happened at #AlisoViejo. Where ever that it.” A second user said, “Alvin Gary Shaw .. takes a coward to punch a woman even more so the bottom Of the barrel of humanity to punch an elderly person ... May you be shamed by America and prosecuted to the fullest .. . Your family must be so proud ... a coward”. “It’s almost weird the way the mainstream media is ignoring the violent attack on three unarmed elderly white women by a young black, armed male for the crime of supporting their President. 33-year-old Alvin Gary Shaw WHAT A COWARD!,” added a third person on the social media platform.
