Caitlyn Jenner lauds parents for standing up to 'woke world' after Los Alamitos School camp incident
Caitlyn Jenner decried the 'woke world' of gender identity after parents of students at a California school reported that male ‘non-binary’ counselors were allowed to sleep in the same cabins as fifth-grade girls at a school-organized science camp.
Parents of students studying in Los Alamitos School District in California have been expressing their concerns after learning the news. According to the parents, the male ‘non-binary’ counselors at Camp Pali in San Bernardino were granted to sleep according to the gender in which they identify. The controversy has also attracted a lot of attention on social media and many celebrities too have addressed the issue.

Jenner, a transgender activist and retired Olympic athlete, too voiced out her concerns regarding the issue on Hannity on Tuesday, February 22. "We are living in such a woke world right now, I can't even figure it out, this is a terrible story. And Los Alamitos, their fifth-grade class, they went to this camp and when they came back, they were talking to their parents about gender, this and that," she said.
Jenner, who publicly came out as a trans woman in April 2015, changed her name from Bruce to Caitlyn, added that the only good thing in this story is how parents especially mothers are now standing up for their child which is a nice thing to see. Jenner told, "The good news is that parents now … - especially moms - are standing up."
She further went on to express that there are genuine people belonging to the LGBT community but this kind of act by some members of the community completely drags all of them down. "It's absolutely a mess out here in California,And it's a shame, because I know so many people in the LGBT community [who] are such wonderful human beings and just do it right. It's a shame that this fringe is out there ruining it, honestly, for everybody."
Tammy Bruce, Fox News contributor agreed with Jenner, saying that the "fringe really right now are the people who are running California."
Bruce recalled how performing a background check on adults alone with children used to be suggested. "But now we're limited based on what someone simply says to us, no matter how they appear, not giving us enough information even to know necessarily exactly who they are. "
Bruce continued, "And they are then to allow them to do what they want, effectively. This has nothing to do with people wanting to live their lives authentically, honest people are not going to move their way into that environment. It is not OK, and a genuinely authentic person would know that and not ask to be in that position or put themselves there." "That is not a normal dynamic," she added. "Not for anyone."
