Spoilers for 'Bulletproof' Season 2 Episode 2

'Bulletproof' Season 2 is well into its US run and the show just keeps getting funnier and more intense with each passing episode. Episode 2, in particular, had a lot of great action and some hilarious moments, courtesy of Jonesy (David Elliot) and Munroe (Jason Maza).

In the episode, there's a scene where the two detectives try to take down a hitman called Yustmanov (Decca Heggie). The boys take a proper beating in the scene before Munroe realizes he's got a taser on him and can use it to take down their hulk-like adversary, remarking that he should have used it from the start.

MEA WorldWide (MEAWW) caught up with David Elliot to talk about his favorite moments from the show and that fight sequence is definitely on the list.

"That was a fun scene, wasn't it?" Elliot laughs. "That's another thing with this show. We're quite loose and easy with the script, so that stuff at the end of that scene with myself and Jason Maza, we were just ad-libbing it and improvising. And at the end of that, that's something that actually my stuntman had said in training about the taser and I told Jason, who plays Munroe, to say that it the scene, because it was really funny."

Of course, there were risks because Decca Heggie is a properly trained boxer so it took a lot of work to make sure he didn't accidentally injure the actors during the fight.

"He's a big guy," Elliot says. "He is a bare-knuckle boxing champion as well. He didn't have any stunt, fight or combat history for film. So it took him a while to be like, not to properly do things that'll actually hurt because he nearly broke my neck a couple of times. That was great fun."

Elliot added that those are just the "perks of the job". Later in the episode, there's also a hilarious scene where Jonesy goes to get something from the hood of a car that he and Munroe are sitting on and Munroe mistakes it for a hug. "That was another made-up scene," Elliot reveals. "I came up with that on the spot cause I thought it'd be funny."

Jonesy has definitely become a lot more humorous in Season 2 after being a bit more serious in Season 1, and a lot of the credit for that goes to his partnership with Jason Maza's Munroe. The two make an excellent pair, with Elliot and Maza playing off each other to comedic perfection.

"The thing with Jason is that he just looks like a puppy dog," Elliot says. "You can't help him but your heart breaks for him."

Catch more of Munroe and Jonesy on 'Bulletproof' Season 2, airing new episodes Wednesdays at 9 pm ET on The CW.
