'Bull' is back after a two-week break. It's going to be a rather un-merry Christmas for TAC, as Bull (Michael Weatherly) and Benny (Freddy Rodriguez) represent Marissa (Geneva Carr) and her estranged husband Greg (David Furr) in federal court after they're charged with money laundering and fraud connected to Greg's restaurant. Bull and Benny have to defend the divorcing couple together so that the prosecution can't use them against each other. They now have to hunt for jurors who will believe that Marissa was not aware of Greg's business dealings. Moreover, Bull and Izzy (Yara Martinez) prepare to baptize Astrid before Christmas, and they reach a stalemate as they can't seem to decide what they want from their renewed relationship.

The synopsis according to Rotten Tomatoes reads: "TAC braces for an un-jolly Christmas when Bull and Benny represent Marissa and her estranged husband, Greg, in federal court after they're charged with money laundering and fraud connected to Greg's restaurant. As Bull and Benny defend the divorcing couple together so the prosecution can't use them against each other, they search for jurors who will believe Marissa had no knowledge of Greg's business dealings."

In the previous episode, we saw that Marissa has a chance at true love again. In 'Prison Break', she finally began to get cracking on the divorce with her husband, Greg, and potentially meets the new love of her life, through a twist of fate. She accidentally gets in touch with an acquaintance from school who she used to have a crush on. Marissa’s mother used to get him to drive her to school. He was older than her but she never told him how she felt and so she finds herself drowning in nostalgia. After a few glasses of wine, she ends up joining the school group online where he's a member, but the only problem was that he's a member of the juror that the TAC had assembled for a rather complex case. This poses an ethical conflict, and Marissa had to tell Bull and Chunk because he was handling the case. Nevertheless, they win the case. At the end of the episode, her new love interest leaves a message for her.

There has been a lot happening on the fifth season of 'Bull' along with the possibility of Benny leaving for DA, and Chunk stepping up to take his place.

'Bull' airs on CBS at 10 pm on Tuesdays.
