This review contains spoilers for 'Bull' Season 4 Episode 8: 'Safe and Sound'

Call it a bitter-sweet ending. Fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the episode and while it may have had a tragic ending, Twitterati felt it was the right way to go. The episode sees Eric and Lena Crawford (Sebastian Arcelus and Alexie Gilmore) have lost their eldest son after he was "accidentally shot" by their younger son, Charlie (Jack Gore). The court blames Eric for being reckless as his elder son has access to his personal, registered firearm with one bullet left in the chamber. The same that caused the death of the son.

Over the course of the episode, it is revealed Charlie is the real culprit and displays sociopath symptoms and is a pathological liar. Talking about the episode, one fan felt Bull (Michael Weatherly) made the right call by pressing charges against the younger son. "Yes, Jason did the right thing. He wouldn't have been able to live with himself if something had happened to his friend and his wife and it sounded like eventually it could have."

For some fans, the episode was difficult and gut-wrenching. "This was a very difficult episode. Yes, he did what he had to do. It was the necessary choice," another fan said. This was seconded by a fan who tweeted: "This episode was heart-wrenching. Going to say this now. I know Spielberg is no longer with the show as of this season. I have to say, this season's episodes are excellent. Such high quality episodes! Bravo to all!"

With Bull soon-to-be a father, fans theorized this would help his cause. "He did make the right call. But #Bull might question his own decision once his baby is born & he understands parental instincts," opined a fan.
