Buffalo Bills trolled for $1.4B outdoor stadium plans as Browns game moved indoors over snowstorm
DETROIT, MICHIGAN: The upcoming Sunday game, November 20, between Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills, was moved from Buffalo to Detroit due to a snowstorm that is expected to hit Western New York. The Bills vs Browns match moved Detroit's indoor stadium Ford Field. However, the people are not happy with this new development. While the schedule of the game remains unhinged, people have started trolling the Bills for the $1.4B outdoor stadium plans as they eventually had to abandon Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, NY, in the face of a calamity.
Buffalo Bills broke the news on their Twitter saying, "Due to public safety concerns and out of an abundance of caution in light of the ongoing weather emergency in western New York, Sunday's game against the Browns will be moved to Ford Field in Detroit." The Weather Channel has reported that the Buffalo area is expected to be hit with a lake-effect snowstorm that could drop upward of four feet of snow. Now, the disappointed fans are trolling the Bill for building an outdoor stadium where the local and state taxpayers are footing $850 million of the $1.4 billion cost. The project became the largest-ever public subsidy for a new NFL stadium which is heavily funded by low-income residents.

One user tweeted, "So why are they building another outdoor stadium in Buffalo? Why isn’t it a dome to prevent this from happening? Why play outdoors in a snowy state if you’re just going to move the game?" One more user wrote, "And yet Buffalo is building the most expensive publically funded stadium - without a dome. Should Detroit get part of those funds as a placeholder for ‘Snow Games’? the foresight is staggering" Another user quipped, "The Bills are preposing a new Billion $ outdoor stadium. But they can’t play outdoors in their current. Huh. Make them dome it. NFL sure doing them a favour. Perhaps no warm weather teams should ever have to travel to Buffalo in the winter."
